After Divorce, I Became My Ex’s Enemy’s Cherished Love
Chapter 3
My eyes widened.
The furious onlookers were visibly stunned too.
Vincent stood at the top of the headquarters steps, looking down over the crowd at me kneeling on the ground.
"I have never slept with this woman, and I don't understand why she singled me out.
"Miss, do I even know what I did to offend you?"
"Vincent!"
I was shaking with rage.
The onlookers had already blocked the path between Vincent and me.
"Don Vincent, are you saying you really never had relations with her?"
Vincent nodded.
"I have notified my family's lawyer. We will pursue this lady's responsibility for defamation."
After saying that, he gave me a cold glance, turned, and went back into headquarters.
I stood up.
"Vincent, stop right there!"
"Where do you think you're going?"
Someone grabbed me and looked me up and down.
"So she's a homewrecker."
"Whose bastard were you carrying?"
"You came here to frame Don Vincent and fabricate rumors about Miss Clara. You wanted to use us as your knife."
Slap.
A heavy blow landed on my face.
"Damn it. I came all this way and got played by this bitch!"
"You like destroying other people's families so much? Think whoever cries is right?"
"Girls, don't let her off. Let her learn that being a homewrecker isn't so easy."
"No! Let go of me!"
My collar was seized.
I was dragged to the ground.
Countless hands grabbed at my clothes, ignoring every shred of my privacy.
"Rip her clothes off. Isn't she shameless? Let's see if she still doesn't care like this."
"Exactly. Teach her a lesson."
"No! This is illegal! Stop! Ah!"
I had just been discharged from the hospital and had no strength.
There were hundreds of them around me.
I couldn't even stand.
All I could do was curl up on the ground and hold myself, refusing to let them tear me apart.
"Stop!"
Just when I was about to collapse, the Moretti guards finally came out.
I was pulled inside Moretti headquarters.
Outside, the furious onlookers still refused to leave.
They shouted for me to come out.
Vincent sat in his office chair and watched me fall to the floor in torn, disheveled clothes.
"Apologize."
I clutched the rags hanging from my body and lifted my head.
"What?"
"Apologize. To me, and to Clara."
I gritted my teeth.
"Why?"
"You killed our child out of jealousy. Shouldn't you apologize to me?"
Vincent's eyes were red.
He looked at me as if I were his enemy.
"You used our child's life to pressure a woman with depression because you were jealous. Shouldn't you apologize to Clara?"
I laughed.
Then tears fell as I laughed.
I nearly crushed my own teeth.
"I told you, Vincent.
"I'm not as heartless and insane as you and Clara!"
My roar echoed through the hall.
Clara stood and covered her mouth as if to leave, but Vincent's guards stopped her.
Vincent came to me and hooked a finger under my chin.
"So you won't apologize?"
"No."
He nodded and hauled me up.
"Vincent, what are you doing? Let go of me!"
He didn't answer.
He only dragged me toward the door.
Countless onlookers were roaring outside.
"Vincent, what are you going to do?"
My body trembled.
The next second, the clothes already hanging off me were torn into pieces.
He opened the door and shoved me out hard.
"Ah!"
