The Hand I Broke for You
From the back cover
My painting hand was broken at seventeen for saving Ethan Blake and got eight years of his guilt in return. When he paid me off for five million dollars and moved on to a woman with perfect hands, I thought that was the end of my story. Then Calder Stone walked into my flower shop, carried me to a hospital, and told me my hand wasn't hopeless and neither was I. I didn't know how to be someone worth saving. He taught me anyway. This is how I stopped bleeding for the wrong man and learned to paint again.
