Married to the Mafia, Owned by the Bullet

Five years married to Nero Marchetti, Don of New York's most feared Mafia family — and five years the famiglia still won't call me his wife.Every year he loads the ancestral Colt. Six chambers. Five live rounds. One blank. Pull the blank, I'm his Donna. Pull a live one, I wait another year — cracked ribs and all. This year I finally broke into the Sanctum to swap a bullet. The cylinder had six live rounds. There was never a blank. He was never going to let me live. But I'm pregnant. And this time, I'm not waiting.
