Degrees: My Stingy Mother-in-Law Got Heatstroke
From the back cover
My mother-in-law was a miser to the bone, and above all she couldn't stand watching me enjoy anything. I'd shower and she'd cut the power. I'd turn on the AC and she'd hide the remote. I'd start a pot of soup and she'd pull the plug. Even the new place I'd finished decorating, she packed full of junk. She even smothered a whole tank of betta fish I'd raised with such care, costing me over a hundred thousand in a single night. I flew into a rage and let her have it, and she just put on that innocent, poor-little-me act, playing the fragile victim.
