After Boyfriend Confessed to Girl Buddy, He Regretted Madly

During freshman orientation, at the talent show, my boyfriend went up on stage and sang a love song to confess to his girl buddy. When I heard him call out Kirsten's name, the whole crowd erupted in applause, whooping for him to "kiss her." I stood off to the side, and what should have been a surprise turned in an instant into humiliation I couldn't hide from. Kirsten laughed and pinched Victor's cheek. "You've got guts, kid.
