A Glass of Water After the Drink, I Got Divorced

My wife's old classmate came to town on a trip, and that night he drank quite a lot. My wife said he'd had too much and there'd be no one to look after him at a hotel, so she put him up in our guest room. When he threw up, she patted his back and cleaned up the mess. Then she made a point of going down to the pharmacy for some glucose for him to drink, and thoughtfully left a glass of warm water on the nightstand.
